The Public Authority for Communications and Information Technology (CITRA) announced that a number of international cables were exposed to breaks in several directions due to road development work. Arabic daily Al Anba reported.
The first cable between the Umm Al-Hayman divide and the Nuwaiseeb Borders Center, the second between the Umm Al-Hayman and Al-Zour Divisions, and the third between the Al-Jahra Division and the Al-Salmi Frontier Center. This led to a halt of three completely international cable systems, namely the International Cable System (STC), the International Cable System (Mobily), and the International Cable System (GCCIA), which led to the disruption of nearly 60% of the Internet services in Kuwait, and the technical procedures necessary to repair the cuts are being worked on by the authority.
