In a decisive move to bolster security and crack down on traffic violations and offenders, reliable security sources said strict instructions have been issued to traffic patrols. These instructions emphasize firm action against violators, particularly expatriates.

Based on these instructions deportation orders have been issued against approximately 100 residents within two months, reports Al-Rai daily.

These motorists were found guilty of committing serious traffic offenses, such as driving without a valid license, reckless driving, speeding and endangering the lives of passengers and other road users.

The Director of the General Traffic Department, Major General Youssef Al-Khadda, has directed all traffic patrols to maintain a constant presence on all streets and highways to enforce the new guidelines.

Additionally, specific plans have been devised for areas with a high concentration of expatriate workers, focusing on thorough checks of driving licenses and vehicle roadworthiness. There will be no leniency in taking legal measures against any violator, and deportation will be the inevitable outcome for those who engage in severe violations.
