The housing cities are the core of the government’s work program and will contain a mechanism for the total cost of each new residential city separately, in addition to dividing this mechanism annually into the state budget with the same mechanism for South Sa’ad Al-Abdullah City, where the total cost was calculated as more than 2 billion dinars, and 80 million was included in the budget of 2022-2023, along with required new legislation.

Local Arabic daily quoting sources said the program will be included in a detailed manner that clearly reassures citizens about the mechanism of housing plans for each residential city separately.

The sources revealed a new mechanism to accelerate the allocation of housing projects, explaining that the direct and vigorous follow-up from the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Follow-up of Major Development Projects, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, for the completion of major development projects, including the provision of land for new residential cities, in addition to the work of the ministers of Works, Electricity, Oil and Housing.

In response to the timing of the settlement of the southern Qairawan region, and whether it will be for housing care or not, the sources said the issue is in the jurisdiction of the Council of Ministers.
