American deep-sea explorers found a strange, semicircular golden object at the bottom of the ocean near Alaska. It was not possible to determine its identity and aroused the curiosity of researchers.

At the end of August, a remotely piloted robot equipped with a camera found this round object with a golden glow in a group of rocks at a depth of about 3,300 meters, about ten centimeters in diameter, reports Al-Rai daily.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which is conducting this research, stated in a memorandum that scientists “were confused about determining what this object was as the cameras zoomed in, and their first guesses ranged from the possibility that it was the hooks of a dead sponge, or a piece of coral or an egg shell.”

The team of scientists lifted the marine object of unknown type to the ship on the surface. An outdoor photo shows a domed, slightly sagging, shiny object that can be held in the hand.

A statement by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration quoted mission coordinator Sam Candio as saying, “We are still unable to identify it, and all we know is that it has a biological origin,” adding that “it may not be possible to learn more about it before (conducting analyzes on it) under the circumstances.” Laboratory.

He believed that this discovery at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean is a reminder that knowledge about the planet Earth and the oceans is still limited.

He stressed that underwater exploration may allow the discovery of new species that may sometimes be suitable for finding new medical treatments, for example. (AFP)
