The security authorities are investigating a person accused of drug abuse who managed to escape in the Sabah Al-Nasser area, after threatening the rescue personnel with a knife.

The Al-Rai daily reported members of the Farwaniya police force, while carrying out their duty in the Sabah Al-Nasser area received a report about a suspected abnormal situation, and upon heading to the location of the report, they saw a car parked with two people inside, one of them got out and started crying while the other was fast asleep inside the vehicle.

A security source told Al-Rai: “Securitymen caught the man who was in an abnormal state. Upon checking his data, it appeared that he was a Kuwaiti citizen born in 1994. Upon searching the vehicle, they found a small bag containing a quantity of Shabu, 10 narcotic pills, and a bottle of alcohol, in addition to two radios, and a knife. He was seized, along with his companion, who turned out to be a bedoun, born in 1987.”

The source added, “When the security men asked the Kuwaiti to get into the patrol car, he pulled out a knife and tried to assault them, then fled to an unknown destination, while his companion was detained and referred to the General Administration for Drug Control. The securitymen are looking for the escapee.
