The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has made preparations for visitors to collect their civil id cards with up to 2000 Civil IDs to be handed out per day and allowing around 500 transactions per day. A site for booking appointments will be launched on Saturday at 9am (www.paci.gov.kw), which also includes a way for visitors to make reservations during working days from Sunday to Thursday.
The reservation for appointments is limited per day, and when the required number is reached each day, the reservation is transferred to the next day. An official source at PACI stated that there are 90,000 civil ID cards ready for collection and will be distributed according to the pre-bookinh process, ie. 200 appointments every hour. PACI will hand over the ready Civil ID cards within 50 working days.
