The General Directorate of Najda Police detained 90 people in the past week for violating the residency law. The arrests were made during the continuous security and traffic campaigns conducted in all governorates, reported Al-Anbaa daily.

According to the report, nine were drug addicts and caught in possession of narcotic substances. The suspects were transferred to the competent authority. Meanwhile, 30 expats in violation of the residency law were also arrested and referred to the investigators. In addition, 51 Arab and Asian expats were detained for not carrying valid IDs.

Moreover, the authorities provided urgent humanitarian assistance to 57 cases, and the traffic campaigns resulted in the registration of 970 traffic violations, particularly those parking in places designated for the disabled and driving a vehicle with loud sounds.
