The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) have decided to float tenders and issue new change orders on contracts with a total value estimated at about 90.3 million dinars.

The Al-Anba daily quoting the oil sector sources said that the KOC decided to award a tender for the supply lining of pipes worth about 49 million dinars. The third group of the tender was awarded to the Technical Company for Petroleum Equipment (the second lowest price), which conforms to the terms and specifications, with a total amount of 37.3 million dinars.

The company which offered the first lowest price was excluded for not renewing the initial insurance. The fourth group was awarded to the Technical Company for Petroleum Equipment (the second lowest price), which conforms to the terms and specifications for a total amount of 9.94 million dinars.

The sources said that the tenth group of the tender was awarded to the Technical Company for Petroleum Equipment (the third lowest price), which conforms to the terms and specifications, with a total amount of 1.5 million dinars, after excluding the lowest price for not renewing the initial insurance, and the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) requested all companies participating in the tender to renew the initial insurance.

CAPT has approved the request for a second extension for a period of 263 days in the contract for the establishment of a new assembly center No. 32 in the southeast of Kuwait, concluded with the Independent Commercial Group Company (the local agent) on behalf of Petrofac from March to December 2021 without financial cost due to the circumstances of the Corona pandemic.

CAPT has also approved a request to issue the second change order to increase a total amount of 19.5 million dinars on the value of the tender contract for the construction of crude oil flow pipelines and related works in the South and East Kuwait region concluded with the Engineering Industries Company from the date of signing the change order until the end of the contract on March 31, 2023, to cover the costs of connecting 106 new wells.

The KNPC has decided to award a contract for leasing various cars of common use to the company, with a value of 7.5 million dinars. The contract was awarded to two companies, where one of the companies won the first group with a value of 2.5 million dinars, while another company won the second with a value of 12 million dinars.
