Monsoon furry has claimed at least 29 lives in Himachal Pradesh in two days, with nine of them buried under the rubble of a temple in Shimla. The weather office has predicted heavy rain for the state over the next couple of days.

Nine people were killed in a landslide at a Shiv Temple in Shimla city today, while seven members of a family died after a cloudburst in Solan late last night.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the authorities to ensure all possible assistance and support to the affected families.
