More than 401,000 people have been vaccinated in Kuwait. The regular arrival of the quantities of Pfizer vaccines and oxford vaccine has contributed to a noticeable increase in the rate of vaccination. 9.3 % of the total population in Kuwait have been vaccinated, Al Qabas reported.

Informed sources in the Ministry of Health confirmed to the daily that the technical teams are closely monitoring the latest developments related to vaccines. The team is aiming to contact the vaccine manufacturers whose vaccines are approved internationally by a specialized organization such as, WHO (World Health Organization), FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), and the European Medicines Agency.

Regarding the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the sources indicated that the Ministry will collect data and scientific reports about the vaccine, before starting to register and license it for use in the country. The technical committee conducts a comprehensive assessment of safety, efficacy, and quality information, indicating that the vaccines Johnson & Johnson and Moderna are close to entering the country during the coming period.
