The Ministry of the Interior prepared a comprehensive security plan, coinciding with the year-end holiday, with the aim of providing security during Christmas celebrations, in addition to keeping up with gatherings on New Year’s Eve, as security sources revealed the distribution of about 900 patrols, belonging to the sectors of rescue, traffic, public security and criminal investigations. In addition to distributing about 8,000 security men in military and civilian uniforms to places where youth and festive gatherings take place.

A local daily reported that instructions were issued by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, to prepare a security plan, to keep up with the year-end holidays, and monitoring any negative and violating phenomena.

Along with following public morals, and to arrest those who do not abide by the law, pointing to the readiness of the Ministry of Interior to deal with all security reports, by distributing fixed points and foot patrols throughout the governorates, to protect citizens and residents to enjoy the vacation safely and securely.
