The Fire and Maritime Rescue Department of the General-Directorate of Fire Department after combing the sea off the Al-Bida beach managed to rescue eight of the 10 people who were reported missing while swimming in the area.
Six of the rescued people are believed to be in good health condition while the other two, whose condition is believed to critical, were rushed to the hospital by paramedics.
The Al-Jarida daily said search is on for the remaining two. The daily added undercurrent may have been the cause of the mishap.
