The opening of the 7th edition of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World was held at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador, H.E Carlo Baldocci.

This year’s edition of the event primarily focuses on three main characteristics of conviviality, sustainability, and innovation, as these qualities are said to act as the main ingredients of the Italian cuisine which implements healthier eating habits and a healthier lifestyle.

The Week’s opening will be celebrated in its full grandeur across several main restaurants in Kuwait under the guidance of Chef Emanuele of “Olio Trattoria Italiana” at Jumeira Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa.

Baldocci stated that the Italian Food and Beverage export has peaked by 45% compared to the beginning of the current year, with an approximate increase of 60% in the sales expansion.

He added that this event is expected to unveil a variety of programs that will provide the best the Italian culinary experience.

He then concluded by saying that there is huge possibility of a steady increase in these export services in the coming year as an informative forum that will highlight the aspects of Food and Food Security in Italian Business take place in Kuwait in March.
