The Ministry of Health announced 753 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 62,625, while 4 deaths was reported raising the number fatalities to 425.
Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that the latest infections include 482 Kuwaitis (64.01 percent) and 271 non-Kuwaitis (35.99 percent). In addition, 9,285 virus patients were still receiving necessary medical treatment, including 129 cases in intensive care units, Dr. Al-Sanad pointed out.
Medical teams carried out 4,603 Covid-19 tests over the last 24 hours, bringing the total count of swab tests to 479,411 since the outbreak of the virus in the country, he added. Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Health said 668 patients recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic in the past 24 hours to raise total recoveries to 52,915.
