The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 729 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, raising the infection cases to 114,744 since the outbreak of the pandemic. 6 patients died, bringing the death toll to 690.

There are 139 people currently receiving intensive care for the virus out of a total 7,559 patients being hospitalised. Some 8,014 swab tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, raising the total to 817,505, added the spokesman.
The official reiterated the strict need to abide by health precautions, urging nationals and expatriates alike that following social distancing rules is the only way to keep the virus at bay. Earlier, the ministry said 649 people have recovered from the virus, upping the total number of those to have overcome the virus to 106,495.
