A government report shows the rate in delay of government development plans is approximately 69 percent. The daily quoting reliable sources said the plan’s follow-up report for the third quarter of the fiscal 2021-2022 indicates 90 projects have fallen behind schedule out of the total of 131 projects while only 38 projects are in line with the schedule, while 3 projects are seen as ahead of the time plan.

The report includes a comparison of the extent of compatibility with the timetables of the plan of the projects for the third quarter in the last three years, reports a local Arabic daily.

The comparison shows the delay rate increased from 49% in the third quarter of 2019-2020 to 61% in the third quarter of 2020-2021 and then 69% in the third quarter of 2021-2022.

The report indicated 50% of the plan’s projects, despite the delay, are still in the implementation phase, 39% are in the preparatory phase, 5% have not started yet, 4% are in the delivery phase, and 2% have been completed.
