The Ministry of Health announced 671 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 60,434, while 4 deaths was reported raising the number fatalities to 412.
Ministry spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said that out of the 671 cases included 395 cases of Kuwaiti citizens, amounting to 58.87 percent and 276 cases of non-Kuwaitis, at 41.13 percent.
With regard to the breakdown of coronavirus infections according to the areas, he explained that they came with 200 cases in Jahra, 158 cases in Ahmadi, 123 cases in Farwaniyah, 116 cases in Hawali and 74 cases in capital.
In addition, 9,103 virus patients were still receiving necessary medical treatment, including 127 cases in intensive care units, Dr. Al-Sanad pointed out. Medical teams carried out 4,157 Covid-19 tests over the last 24 hours, bringing the total count of tests to 446,861 since the outbreak of the virus in the country, he added. Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Health said 580 people recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic in the past 24 hours to raise total recoveries to 50,919.
