The Ministry of Health announced 616 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 101,299 while 2 deaths were reported raising the number fatalities to 590.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that the confirmed cases included patients who contracted the virus due to contact with infected people, while others remained under examination to determine the source. The cases were distributed in the following areas: 171 from Al-Ahmadi, 91 in Al-Farwaniyah, 95 in Al-Jahra, 152 in Hawalli and 107 in Al-Asimah (the capital).
Additionally, active cases amounted to 8,368, with 101 of them in intensive care units, Al-Sanad elaborated. Health authorities conducted 4,622 swab tests in 24 hours with a total of 720,509, he revealed. Dr. Al-Sanad urged everyone in Kuwait to adhere to precautionary measures against the virus. Earlier today, the ministry confirmed 729 fresh recovery cases, raising the total to 92,341 cured people so far.
