The Ministry of Health announced 606 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 64,379, while 5 deaths was reported raising the number fatalities to 438.
Ministry spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that out of 606 cases included 358 Kuwaiti citizens, at a rate of 59.08 percent, and 248 expats, at 40.92 percent. With regard to the breakdown of infections according to health districts, he explained that they came by 170 in Al-Ahmadi, 152 in Al-Farwaniyah, 152 in Al-Jahra, 70 in Hawali and 62 in the Capital.
And about the latest developments in the intensive care departments, he pointed out that the number of those receiving medical care reached 121 cases, bringing the total of all cases proven to have disease and still receiving the necessary medical care to 8884. On the number of smears that have been done during the past 24 hours was 3828 smears, raising the total to 489,566.
MOH announced earlier today that 684 cases have been cured in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cured Covid-19 cases to 55057 cases.
