The Ministry of Health has stated that a total of 604,861 coronavirus vaccine shots were given in Kuwait so far.

In a news conference held on Monday, the ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad noted the number of people who want to take the vaccine has increased. He clarified that 1,106,276 people have registered for getting the vaccine so far.

Al-Sanad underlined the importance of vaccination to reach herd immunity and help avoid server complications of the infection. He pointed out that the COVID-19 infection rate has stabilized in the past days, but it is still high.

He urged the public to abide by social distancing rules and preventive measures to reduce
infections.
