The Ministry of Social Affairs said the six inspection teams that were formed by the Minister of Social Affairs last week headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry and the Assistant Undersecretary for the Cooperatives Sector, each comprises 6 inspectors — two representing the Ministry of Commerce, two from Social Affairs and two from the Cooperative Societies Union, reports a local Arabic daily quoting reliable sources.

The daily added, a timetable has been chalked out to organize inspection tours of the cooperative societies to ensure the supply of basic commodities and the availability of the vital commodities.

However, the sources indicated the inspection dates will be determined over the next few days and will include all cooperatives in all governorates, followed by periodic meetings between the inspection teams to discuss reports and take necessary measures in the event of any violation.
