35 flights are scheduled to leave Kuwait with 5,982 passengers on Thursday to Egypt, Nepal, India and Ethiopia, reported Al Rai daily. A record of 32 flights with 6,180 passengers onboard left Kuwait on Wednesday since the suspension of airport activities caused by the coronavirus crisis. Earlier, 27 flights were arranged for passengers from the day before yesterday from Kuwait International Airport.

The number of flights that left Kuwait on Wednesday was the largest since the start of the pandemic with passengers from the Gulf, Arab and Asian nationalities traveling to their respective countries. The Egyptian community was the largest with 23 flights and 4229 passengers on board. There were also seven evacuation flights for Indians to their country that transported 1132 passengers, a flight to Doha with 209 passengers, and a flight to Jordan with 320 passengers.

The DGCA issued guidelines to all airlines, service providers and passengers, to adhere to the health measures such as social distancing, to wear masks and gloves, to take temperatures for all travelers, and to apply safety measures.
