The Ministry of Health announced 590 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 102,441 while 3 deaths were reported raising the number fatalities to 590.

MoH’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that the confirmed cases included patients who contracted the virus due to contact with infected people, while others remained under examination to determine the source. The cases were distributed in the following areas: 138 from Al-Ahmadi, 86 in Al-Farwaniyah, 110 in Al-Jahra, 134 in Hawalli and 122 in Al-Asimah (the capital).

Additionally, active cases amounted to 8,284, with 111 of them in intensive care units, Al-Sanad elaborated. Health authorities conducted 4,730 swab tests in 24 hours, bringing the total to 729,755, he revealed. Dr. Al-Sanad urged everyone in Kuwait to adhere to precautionary measures against the virus. Earlier today, the ministry confirmed 601 fresh recovery cases, raising the total to 93,562 cured people so far.
