Ministry of Health announced 582 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total infections to 45,524, while 2 deaths were reported raising the number fatalities to 350.

The updated total caseload includes 319 Kuwaiti nationals and 263 expatriates, Dr. Al-Sanad told KUNA. Giving a breakdown of the cases’ distribution per district, Dr. Al-Sanad said 158 of the patients were registered in Al-Ahmadi, 136 in Al-Jahra, 115 in Al-Farwaniya, 88 in Hawally and 85 in AlAssima (the capital).

Currently, there are patients 145 receiving treatment at intensive care wards and count of the confirmed cases that remained under medical treatment amounted to 8,861, Dr. Al-Sanad revealed. He added that 70 patients were discharged from quarantine, during the past 24 hours, however they would sequester themselves at home for 14 days. The health authorities conducted 3,504 swab tests in the past 24 hours, raising the whole count to 382,842, Dr. Al-Sanad added. Earlier today, the Health Ministry announced recovery of 819 people from the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the tally to 36,313.
