The Ministry of Health announced 553 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 58,221, while 2 deaths was reported raising the number fatalities to 404. Official spokesperson of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Friday that among the latest infection cases there was a number of sick persons who had contracted the coronavirus after getting close to infected individuals, Dr. Al-Sanad said, also noting that other cases required tracing and to determine circumstances of the contamination. In the latest batch of 553 infection cases, there were 319 cases of Kuwaiti citizens and 234 of non-Kuwaitis.
