The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 494 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, raising the infection cases to 105,676  since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country months ago.  Two patients died, bringing the death toll to 612.

The spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the infections were distributed according to areas; 130 cases in Hawalli, 116 cases in
Ahmadi, 87 cases in the Capital, 83 cases in the Farwaniya, and 78 cases in the Al-Jahra.

He noted the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 139 cases, bringing the total number of all cases that were confirmed to have (Covid-19) disease and are still receiving the necessary medical care 7867 cases.

He pointed out that the number of swabs done in the past 24 hours was 3930, bringing the total to 751,163 tests.

The Ministry of Health announced earlier today that 509 infections had recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries from (Covid-19) to 97,197 cases.
