Personnel from the General Traffic Department during a security campaign in front of the Friday market have seized 493 bottles of locally-manufactured booze from a minibus which was parked in front of market in a suspicious manner.

The Al-Rai daily said the securitymen found no person inside the bus. Police are in the process of identifying the owner of the vehicle.

In the meantime, the booze has been seized and the vehicle has been impounded. The campaign was head by the Farwaniya Governorate traffic patrolmen, led by Major Salem Abdullah Al-Radaan, in the vicinity of the Friday market to arrest illegal residents and violators of traffic laws.
