The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 475 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, raising the infection cases to 108,743 since the outbreak of the pandemic. 7 patients died, bringing the death toll to 639.

Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the infrection breakdown was according to the areas, with 115 cases in Ahmadi, 105 cases in Hawalli, 89 cases in Farwaniya, 83 cases in  Al-Jahra, and 83 cases in Capital.

He indicated that the number of people receiving medical care in intensive care wards reached 127 cases, bringing the total number of (Covid-19) patients, and are still receiving the necessary medical care to 7328 cases.

He pointed out that the number of swabs that were done in the past 24 hours amounted to 4,083 swabs, bringing the total to 76,8691. Al-Sanad renewed the call for citizens and expats to continue to adhere to health measures, avoid contact with others, and follow social distancing.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced earlier today that 597 cases had recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries from (Covid-19) to 100,776 cases.
