A high-ranking 46-member Kuwaiti economic delegation headed by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Al-Sager is heading for Egypt today for a visit that will continue until October 4, as part of the Chamber’s efforts to open new economic horizons between Kuwait and Egypt, and to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and the historical extension of Egyptian and Kuwaiti ties.

The delegation includes Chamber’s board of directors, some government agencies, professional associations, and a group of Kuwaiti companies interested in the investment, banking, industry, tourism and hotel sectors, foodstuffs, logistics, shipping, handling and storage, aviation, education, communications, construction and contracting and members of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Cooperation Council, and the administrative body of the Chamber.

The Chamber is organizing this visit in partnership with the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, and its program includes holding the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Economic Forum, which will address several axes, present investment opportunities and the business environment in Egypt, and major national projects in the sectors of agriculture, industry, real estate investment, tourism and services and also as part of familiarization with the state ownership policy and opportunities for partnership between the public and private sectors, and the Suez Canal economic zone projects.

The Kuwaiti side will present the investment climate in Kuwait, an overview of the Kuwaiti economy, a presentation on small and medium enterprises in Kuwait, and hold meetings with high-level officials in the Egyptian government, to discuss ways to consolidate economic cooperation, and a reflection of Egypt’s interest in attracting Kuwaiti investors to participate in the implementation of projects.
