The air cargo customs officers monitoring the inspection and storage of the Air Customs Department seized five boxes of food supplement containing 41 kilograms of narcotic larica powder. The Acting Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Suleiman Al-Fahd, revealed that the said shipment came from an unspecified Asian country. He also noted that the department shall apply an iron fist on all inspection procedures of all land, sea, and air ports, adding all efforts are being done to tighten the security on export and import activities. Moreover, Al-Fahd said that the department is cooperating with state agencies’ security and control authorities, under the leadership of the Narcotics Control Department of the Ministry of Interior, in the arrest of the suspects.
