Officials at the Ministry of Health told Al-Qabas that there are 4 stages for distributing anti-Coronavirus vaccines to reach the required community immunity in conjunction with the continued gradual arrival of quantities of approved vaccines, Al Qabas daily reported.

The first stage of vaccination includes workers in the front lines in general, including medical and nursing staff, the elderly over 65 years of age, people with special needs and people with chronic diseases, especially in care homes, while the second phase will target other groups, such as teachers, child care workers and those in age group from 50 to 64 years.

According to the sources, the third stage includes adults and workers in separate occupations in society, and those who are more likely to catch virus infection, in addition to the age group from 30 to 49 years, provided that vaccines are available and the process of supplying them is regular. The fourth stage will be the last for all remaining segments, except for pregnant women and those under 16 years old, and those with infectious diseases.

A growing demand

In addition, the sources pointed out the increasing daily demand for the electronic link dedicated to Corona vaccinations, which reflects the increased health awareness among segments of society about the need to take vaccines while adhering to health requirements, with the aim of overcoming the current stage of the pandemic crisis.
