34,634 expats including residency law violators exited from the country from mid-March to mid May, traveling on a total of 210 flights, revealed statistics by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

DGCA also mentioned that the Egyptian expats who left the country as of last Friday was 8,000, and the first evacuation flights began on May 5, with coordination between Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DGCA.

DGCA also announced that the evacuation plan for the expatriates continued during the Eid holidays, in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 969 expatriates departed on five flights in a single day, including three Jazeera Airways flights to India with 435 passengers. The first trip was to Cochin, second to another city in Kerala and the last to Punjab. A Kuwait Airways flight transported 334 Bangladeshi to Dhaka, and a Qatar Airways flight with 200 passengers traveled to Doha.
