34 expatriate workers will be dismissed from their jobs including a legal advisor in the Office of the Minister, an accounting specialist in the Office of the Undersecretary, a senior legal specialist in the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for the Cooperatives Sector, and social and psychological service specialists in the Social Care Sector, reports Al Rai daily. Undersecretary of the Social Affairs Ministry of Affairs Abdulaziz Shuaib recently issued a decision to terminate the expats as part of the Kuwaitization plan.

Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Maryam Al-Aqeel has started the process of replacing expatriates working in the Ministry of Social Affairs with nationals.

The daily said, quoting sources, that the terminating of expatriates working in the ministry are in line with the state’s policy to replace expat workers in governmental sector jobs with citizens, and it is also known that some of them are 60 years old.
