A recent statistic issued by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare shows 33 percent increase in housing requests in 2021 compared to 2020.
The statistics (Al-Qabas has obtained a copy) shows the total housing requests until January 31 last year were about 94,379. The statistics added the housing requests in 2021 were 8,424, while 2020 accounted for 5,634 requests, with an increase of about 2,790 requests.
In terms of numbers, the value of the monthly rent allowance for citizens who are entitled for residential care will reach 14.1 million dinars annually.
