The Rawda and Hawalli Cooperative Society organized the first open marathon race for men and women from Jamal Abdel Nasser Park to the Al-Islah Association, today, as part of the activities of the Social Work Committee.
The Secretary and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Marathon, Omar Al-Ansari, announced 4 categories for the contestants, the first from 15 to 29 years, the second from 30 to 40 years, and the third from 41 years and over, and a category for people with disabilities. At stake were valuable prizes for the first place winners.
Al-Ansari said that the race aims to spread the culture of sports and running because of its sports and health benefits.
