The Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, announced the arrival of 300 doctors and nurses from the Republic of Cuba to the country. Al-Mutairi pointed out that the Cuban doctors and nurses will be working in intensive care to deal with the Coronavirus-infected patients as the team has visited many countries.
Kuwait signed a memorandum of understanding in the health field to allow the country to benefit from Cuba’s healthcare worker’s experiences, he added that the team will provide their assistance for a duration of 6 months.
The Cuban health delegation are granted special visas, and they will be transferred from Kuwait International Airport via private buses for tests. Then, the team will be transferred to the housing designated by the Ministry of Health.
The Cuban ambassador to the country, Hoseluez Noroega, expressed his happiness at the arrival of about 300 Cuban medical personnel who will help people in Kuwait to confront the coronavirus. He explained that this signifies the strength of relations between the two countries. He noted that they feel proud, as they will be in the first lines to fight this virus.
