The Misdemeanor Court has sentenced the Fashionista to 3 years in prison with hard labor, withdrew her driver’s license for a year, and fined her 15 dinars.
The Al-Rai daily said the court found her guilty of manslaughter, jumping a red traffic light, speeding, and causing the traffic accident as a result of which two people lost their lives. The court also referred the civil lawsuit to the competent department.
According to case papers the operations room of the Ministry of Interior had received a report about a traffic accident in the Capital, and as security personnel moved to the site, they saw two vehicles involved in an accident, one driven by Fashionista, and in the other vehicle there were 4 young men.
The driver and his companion in the passenger seat died on the spot and two others were injured. They were taken to the hospital and the investigator ordered the bodies to be removed and the driver of the first vehicle to be detained.
