The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 28 Asians and charged them with selling state-subsidized diesel at a cost much less than the gas stations.
The ministry said in a statement, the continuous efforts of personnel from the criminal security sector, of the Criminal Investigation Department for Governorates Affairs in Jahra and Ahmadi resulted in the arrest of the Asians, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily added, the seizures took place in the suburb of Mina Abdullah and Saad Al-Abdullah areas. All those arrested have been referred to the competent authorities, and necessary measures will be taken against the companies benefiting from the diesel subsidized by the state.”
