The total amount of outstanding loans owed by the Kuwaiti government to local banks is 260 million dinars, which is scheduled to be paid off by 2027, according to official sources.

The sources confirmed that the Ministry of Finance is currently coordinating with the Central Bank of Kuwait to repay these loans in accordance with the set schedule, reports Al-Rai Daily.

It is noteworthy that the government has been working to reduce its debt to banks, which has accumulated over the years, and has made it a priority to pay off all outstanding loans in order to maintain its credibility and ensure the continued stability of the financial sector in the country.
