The General Traffic Department has released the weekly statistics concerning traffic accidents in the country which totaled to at least 1,657 from 15 to 21 October, an Arab daily reported. Among these accidents, 221 were grave enough to have caused serious injuries on the victims, while the rest of the 1,436 cases were minor accidents that resulted in material losses only.
