Recent data issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait revealed 1,973 cheques bounced for lack of balance in Kuwait from January to the end of June 2022, an increase of 275 compared to the same period in 2021.
In detail, the value of the bounced checks was about 30 million dinars, compared to 24.1 million dinars for the same period last year, reports a local Arabic daily.
The number of customers who submitted such checks during the first half of this year increased to 1,303 customers, compared to 1,245 customers for the same period in 2021.
