The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 174 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, raising the infection cases to 146,218, since the outbreak of the pandemic and no deaths were reported.

The new infections increased number of registered cases to 146,218 while deaths remain at 911, MoH spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to KUNA. He added that 62 Covid-19 patients were in intensive care units (ICUs), while total number of people receiving treatment was 3,213.

Al-Sanad said health care workers conducted 3,679 swab tests in the past 24 hours to raise to 1,180,662 number of swabs taken since outbreak of the pandemic in Kuwait. He urged the public to maintain physical distancing and wear masks, as well as following instructions posted on the MoH’s official sites. The MoH announced earlier today 269 people recovered from coronavirus in the past 24 hours to raise total to 142,094.
