MEED magazine mentioned that the contracting companies are no longer certain of the date when the Kuwait Integrated Petrochemical Industries Company (KIPIC) will float a tender for a project to develop alternative primary production inputs for the hydrogen production unit at Al-Zour refinery.

A local Arabic daily quoting the magazine sources said the estimated budget for the project is $150 million, and it is expected to take 36 months to complete.

One of the sources said: “Officials from KIPIC told the contractors that the company plans to float the tender for the project before the end of the year, and it remains to be seen whether the company can follow up on this plan and implement it in the current environment.”
