Inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry were assaulted and beaten by a number of Egyptian expatriates in the Al-Dajeej area while they were carrying out inspection campaigns on furniture stores in the Farwaniya Governorate.
Informed sources told a local Arabic daily, that the ministry officials then informed the Ministry of Interior and 15 men were taken into custody for obstructing the work of the Ministry of Commerce inspectors, assaulting them, and damaging their “Ipads” for registering commercial violations.
The daily quoting security sources said all those arrested and others on the run are expected to be deported from the country within the next 48 hours, after verifying their identity through the cameras deployed in the commercial complex in the Al-Dajeej area.
