According to senior oil officials as of the end of June this year, 1,491 technical jobs vacancies are available with the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries, most of them are in the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), made available by retirement or resignation and the termination of expatriate oil workers in line with the Kuwaitization policy.

Sources told Al-Anba KOC has 443 vacancies and the KNPC 736 jobs, and in the Kuwaiti Oil Tankers Company 57 jobs, the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) 130 jobs, down from 167 vacancies at the end of last year.

She pointed out that the job vacancies available in the oil sector are estimated according to the needs of the specialized work groups in light of future projects and the movement of the workforce in the oil sector as a whole, and then the appointment is made according to the annual employment plan, which is prepared and implemented in coordination between the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiary companies.
