Since the airport reopened to arrivals on Sunday, 48 flights have arrived at the airport in the country carrying 1,442 passengers, including 989 citizens and 453 domestic workers in the past 48 hours, Al Rai reported.

The Director of Operations Department at the General Administration of Civil Aviation, Mansour Al-Hashemi, said in a statement to Al-Rai yesterday that once flights resumed at the airport, 25 aircrafts arrived on Sunday, with 713 passengers on board, comprised of 382 citizens and 331 domestic workers.

He explained that the number of flights yesterday until seven in the evening was 22 flights with 729 passengers onboard, which were 607 citizens and 122 domestic workers.

Adding that the majority of arrivals were from the Gulf countries, Turkey and India, Al-Hashemi emphasized that “all arrivals underwent a PCR test and were institutionalized at the designated hotels in the country.

He mentioned they arrived in the country after registering on the Kuwait Mosafer App for citizens and BelSalamah app for domestic workers, after they completed all the procedures underlined by the concerned authorities, including providing the negative PCR test certificates and hotel reservation for those who have to undergo institutional quarantine.
