The campaigns launched by the traffic and operations sector in the past week resulted in the arrest of 48 juveniles who were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution for driving without a driver’s license and 65 more individuals who were referred to precautionary detention for serious violations. In addition, an Arab daily reported that 28,837 miscellaneous violations were also issued, wherein 1,534 cases were dealt with and that 326 of them were serious accidents, while the rest were accidents that left no injuries.

The General Traffic Department issued a statement that 85 vehicles and 7 motorcycles were impounded, and 13 vehicles were seized with 12 people without proof of ownership, noting that the confiscation was conducted during the 5-10 November campaigns.

In addition, the paper confirmed that a number of patrols were dispatched to some areas in which reckless driving was reported amid yesterday’s rain, indicating that the Ministry of Interior’s operations department responded to several reports they received yesterday.
