The General Traffic Department, represented by the Technical Affairs Sector, in cooperation with the General Administration of Residence Affairs, the Kuwait Municipality and the Ministry of Commerce, organized a security campaign targeting garages in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, particularly on garages which install special spare parts that enable vehicles to emit loud noises.
A security told Al-Anba this is in addition to identifying garages which carry out repairs of cars without permission from the security authorities.
The campaign resulted in issuing 200 traffic citations, seizure 4 vehicles, and placing 1,000 stickers on ‘abandoned’ vehicles, in addition to arresting violators by residence and labor laws.
