The director of Jahra Hospital 2, “Communicable Diseases,” Dr. Jamal Al-Duaij, said 100 pregnancies and births of children for mothers infected with HIV were successfully supervised, without the virus being transmitted to any of those children, and this achievement is credited to the State of Kuwait.

Al-Duaij added, on the sidelines of the workshop on HIV, which was held under the auspices of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health Affairs and Chairman of the Permanent National Committee for AIDS Control, Dr. Buthaina Al-Mudhaf, in cooperation with the Communicable Diseases Hospital. Treating AIDS in the hospital, led by Dr. Osama Al-Baqsami and Dr. Al-Mundhir Al-Hasawi, reports a local Arabic daily.
