The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department for Narcotics Control, successfully apprehended ten individuals who were found to be in possession of approximately 3.5 kilograms of different types of drugs. Authorities also discovered 1,000 Captagon pills and 21 tapes containing psychotropic substances, Al Jarida reported.
The defendants admitted that they were in possession of the confiscated items with the intention of engaging in trafficking and abusive activity. Consequently, both the defendants and the seized items were handed over to the appropriate authority for further legal action, Al-Jarida reported. In this context, the Ministry of Interior has affirmed its commitment to actively combating drug dealers and smugglers in the country.
